Our goal is to connect our children to God.
We seek to provide instruction and guidance to our children in a safe, comfortable environment where they can learn about God, His word and His love for us in a fun, engaging way with friends. As our population of children and youth increases, our activities and classroom instruction offerings will also expand.
We believe every child is to be nurtured in their faith.
At Addison Congregational Church, we are committed to teaching God's truth to our young people. Our goal is for them to:
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Be equipped to share their faith with their peers
Experience ministry in a real and vital way
Our worship service includes a Children's Chat where children are invited to the front of the church for a short object lesson. They are then released to attend Junior Church (for ages 4-11). Here they engage in age appropriate activities including Bible stories, memory verses, games, crafts, activity sheets and songs while being taught the fundamentals of our faith.
Nursery
A nursery is provided for parents and caregivers of
infants and young children. It is furnished with toys,
activity centers, a crib, rocking chairs and a restroom.
An audio and video feed of the service is delivered
directly to the nursery.
Little Lambs (3-5)
Our youngest have hearts and minds open to all God has for them. Through age-specific Bible stories, games, music, activities and more, children learn how to apply the Bible to real life.
Most importantly, our program equips parents to take the story home and continue the application and conversation throughout the week in age-appropriate, engaging ways.
KidZone (1st – 5th grade)
Elementary kids look forward to the variety of ways they’ll learn more about God, His word and what that means for their day-to-day lives. Through games, videos, stories and activities, kids get challenging and practical application of the Bible and how God’s word can be real to them
- every day.
Family resources provide parents important tools to engage their kids through the week in conversation, reflection, scripture reading and interactive online games and support, making it easy for parents to be the principle teachers in their children’s lives.
Summer Events for the Kids
Our family ministries staff prepares special events and outreaches for our children and youth throughout the years. Details are available on the Calendar and our FaceBook pages.
Summer J.A.M. is our weekly youth and children outreach during the summer school holidays, where kids encounter Jesus… and more! Summer J.A.M. meets once a week for an afternoon filled with fun, activities, food and Bible lessons.
